Jake Benhoff
Owner and President, Jacob (Jake) Benhoff, of J.G. Benhoff, LLC, is a 2010 graduate of West Virginia University. Jake was awarded a Bachelors of Science in Wildlife and Fisheries Management. Jake has a vast amount of expertise and passion for construction—passed down to him from his grandfather and father. His grandfather, Melvin Benhoff, Senior, original owner of Melvin Benhoff Sons, Inc, believed in providing superior quality and service.
Michael Benhoff, took over the successful business in the late 90’s, providing the same superior quality, customer service and passion as his father had. The business thrived for over 30 years. Jake began his career working for Melvin Benhoff Sons, Inc., the summer of 2000. At just 13, he started building his knowledge of the construction industry each summer and school break thereafter. By age 21, Jake had become a seasoned construction professional.
After graduation, he returned to Melvin Benhoff Sons as a full time employee, working as Assistant Forman, for both the asphalt crew and grading crew. Melvin Benhoff Sons, Inc. closed for business in 2011, due to the harsh economic climate. Jake’s passion for the construction industry, outdoors, business and quality lead him to the organization of J.G. Benhoff, LLC—serving companies and communities just as his grandfather and father did for so many years.
